QPSS plans to enhance 400 series output

China's mills have planned to increase the 400 series stainless steel output as higher nickel prices are squeezing profit margins.
China's Taiyuan Iron & Steel Co.,Ltd (Tisco) has announced to enhance the 400 series output by 50 percent this year.
The output of 400 series was totaled 49,500 tons at Qingdao Pohang Stainless Steel (QPSS), accounting 31 percent of total volume.
QPSS aims to increase 400 series stainless steel production by 55 percent from 24 percent last year, and adjust its production of 300 series by 35 percent.
