China's stainless steel makers are likely to remain their product prices unchanged in May, because they have recognized that current offers have been too high to be accepted by some buyers, according to a Shanghai base trader.
And some producers might choose to raise slightly by less than US$125 per ton.
Stainless makers have raised 304 CR coil prices by RMB4,050 to RMB43,450 per ton in April.
Mills are planning for more lower nickel stainless steel capacity, to offset higher production raw material costs.
